Dwyane Wade
For this blog, I read an article about the Miami Heat superstar Dwyane Wade. The article talks about Dwyane Wade's deteriorating health and whether or not he'll be able to come back to his old self. The article talks about Dwyane when he was in his prime, and it mentions how explosive he was before time had started to get the best of him. He was putting up spectacular numbers, now however many argue that it's his time to pass the torch including a fellow superstar Kevin Durant. Durant says Dwyane should pass the torch on to the younger, newer generation of up coming stars. Wade however still feels he has more to prove, and the means to do it. Wade can also back it up by mentioning his recent playoff finals performances which were critical in winning his 3rd championship with fellow teamates Lebron James, and Chris Bosh. In first series of the playoffs the Heat played the Milwaukee Bucks, this was the series where Dwyane injured his knee which is arguably what started this controversy. Dwyane struggled throughout the playoffs after his injury as he attempted to play through it but he was still able to come up when it mattered most starting in the NBA finals in game 4 when he managed to score 32 points to keep the team in the lead for the win. He also came up big in game 7 scoring around 23 points to help Miami win the championship. Although he did injure his other knee during the NBA finals which raised even more questions about the superstar. My personal reaction to this article was worried, but confident that Dwyane Wade would be able to prove doubters wrong and show that he's still an elite player in the NBA. I believe the authors intent was to inform readers about the state Dwyane Wade is currently in, and the controversy surrounding the situation. I noticed a lot of chronological organization in this article everything seemed to be dated and in the correct chronological order.
